Rfid based attendance system using nodemcu

We have developed this unique project to automate the attendance system for offices, schools and universities etc. The purpose of this project is to remove tedious process of marking attendance manually.

We've visited so many sites but no one has the solution for marking online attendance without using Ethernet or GSM Moduleso we decided to develop our system without using these components which reduces our project costing. Did you use this instructable in your classroom?

R adio- F requency I dentification RFID is the use of radio waves to read and capture information stored on a tag attached to an object. A tag can be read from up to several feet away and does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the reader to be tracked.

This is the advantage over Bar-code. Radio waves are used to transfer data from the tag to a reader. A passive tag is an RFID tag that does not contain a battery, the power is supplied by the reader.

When radio waves from the reader are encountered by a passive rfid tag, the coiled antenna within the tag forms a magnetic field. The tag draws power from it, energizing the circuits in the tag. The MF RC is a highly integrated transmission module for contact-less communication at The module uses SPI to communicate with microcontrollers.

Open serial monitor with baud rate settings of Observe serial monitor. It will show UID for that card. You must be logged in to post a comment. Low-voltage, low-cost, small size of the non-contact card chip to read and write. Suitable for Smart meters and portable handheld devices.

These records are saved on cloud server to be monitored from anywhere by the authorities. This Project can be very helpful in various corporate sectors, educational institutions, hospitals etc for attendance purpose. Before starting with the hardware modules, first we will create the Google sheet to record the attendance.

Below are the steps to create and configure the Google sheet for this Biometric Attendance system :. Rename the blank sheet to any name of your choice. Then create columns in the sheet for DateTime and Name. You can rename this Google Script File to any name of your choice. In the next step, provide all the required permissions. Just copy the URL and save it in notepad for future use.

Now go to pushingbox. Click on " My Services " tab and then on " Add a service " button. Select " CustomURL ". Fill in the form that popped out.

Hqts format

Select the GET option in the field method. Next, go to " My Scenarios ". On the text field, give a name for the scenario and click " Add ".

Then click on " Add an Action " and select " Add an action with this service " of the service you just created. We will get a device ID after it. Circuit diagram for biometric attendance system over IoT is given below:. The complete program for this is given in the bottom of this article and the step wise explanation is given here.

Just search for the required library and click on install. You should enter an ID for the fingerprint in which you want to store your fingerprint. As this is my first fingerprint, I typed 1 in the top left corner, and then, click the Send button.

Then the light on the fingerprint sensor will blink which indicates that you should place your finger on the sensor and after that, in serial monitor, you can follow the steps till it acknowledge you for successful enroll.

So after enrolling the finger, its time to upload the Attendance system program. Complete program for fingerprint based attendance system is given at the end here, we are explaining the working of code.

The first thing is to do in the program is to include all the required libraries. Then we have to configure the serial port in which fingerprint sensor will be connected.

Next, set your Wi-Fi router credentials in the program. As we are going to use Pushing box API for sending the data to Google sheet, so I have assigned it to a variable host which I will use later in the program. Inside setup function, initialize the LCD and print a welcome message. After connection is successfully made, write a program block to check for fingerprint sensor availability. In the next step, a function getFingerprintID is written which will return a valid fingerprint ID for an already enrolled fingerprint.

Inside loop function getFingerprintID function is called to get a valid fingerprint ID if it is successfully enrolled. Then it is compared using if-else loop to get the member name and then the name is sent as an argument to a function connecthost which will send this data to Google sheet via pushing box API. Inside connecthost function the sent data from loop function is assigned to a variable member.Did you use this instructable in your classroom?

Hi, I'm interested in your project, but I have a question. Can we use a static IP address? In case I don't have any WiFi to connect to. Thank you! Question 1 year ago. Answer 1 year ago.

rfid based attendance system using nodemcu

Hey, Thanks for being interested in my project. The only difference will be that in Arduino we are going to communicate via a wired connection instead of wifi. I haven't already written a code for that but I am willing to make the modifications so that it runs on Arduino. I'll mail you the code in a few days. Probably by this weekend. Question 1 year ago on Step 4. Hi - this is a cool project! It is the first electronic thing I have attempted to build - I am an absolute beginner.

I understand that I have to install a library for the display. Could I trouble you to provide a zip file of the OLED library you used, or could you suggest which library already in the Arduino library manager I should use instead?

If the latter, also please tell me which lines to change in the sketch - I have no idea what I'm doing here! I tried including a couple of plausible sounding OLED libraries, and changing the sketch accordingly to match those library names, and the result was MANY errors instead of just one, lol.The itinerary was excellent (we loved Heimaey, especially the hotel). Well, we were a bit surprised (positively) because we didn't have any references at all about your services (we knew about your travel agency by google), and we can say that if we return to a nordic country maybe it will be using the services of Nordic Visitor.

The only thing we are disappointed is to never knew the person that make this perfect travel organization. But still thank you for all. I was initially skeptical of what kind of service we were going to be getting, but everything, top to bottom, was very professional and well put together. We didn't have much communication with Dagny, but after having met her in person, we felt like we could ask anything of her.

We were really regretful that we didn't get to visit the Nordic Visitor office on our last day to give a video review, and to thank her in person.

Have already recommended NV once from our Iceland trip and will absolutely recommend again. Christoph was also wonderful- did a fantastic job in customizing the trip for us (combination of 2 trips), and was also quick to respond and communicate via email. We will definitely book again- the only negative is that the time went by too quickly. We have just arrived back from a most memorable and enjoyable trip which you organised for us.

Right from the beginning of our email correspondence, we have been impressed by the quality, dedication and effort you have put into making our tour of Scotland enjoyable. Thank you for going beyond what I would normally expect. The tour and the associated paperwork and maps which you arranged were all marvellous and a good representation of Scotland.

Whilst I thought that two days on Skye would be far too long, it was just right. Thank you again for your assistance and I shall endeavour through trip advisor and friends to spread the word about your wonderful company. Nordic appear to be professional, aware of the best locations to visit and stay.

The suggested tour is well balanced between places to see and covering the distance. We were very impressed with the standard of accommodation given that we only booked "standard".

We're just on the train back from Edinburgh, and wanted to say a big thank you for all your help organising our trip. We had an amazing time travelling round Scotland, and all the organization couldn't have been better. Everything went so smoothly - all the information you provided was so detailed and really helped us make the most of our trip.

And all the accommodation was just amazing!. We've had such a great time, thank you again for all your help. I will definitely recommend Nordic Visitor to my friends. We were glad to have the printed maps supplied by Nordic Visitor. We were very pleased with the decision to up-grade from 'Standard' to 'Superior' accomodation. The 'Commodore Class' on the Ferry was very welcome.

The car was upgraded as well, fantastic. We loved staying at the Basecamp Trapper's hotel. The place was really interesting and the staff very nice. We pass along a special thanks to Lise at the hotel for her exceptional customer service and friendly personality. We also enjoyed the trip to Isfjord Radio, our wonderful guide Harri, and the great meals they served. Our 2 hour maxibus trip around Longyearbyen the day we arrived was a good introduction to the area.

We made 2 changes to the package tour itinerary, and they ended up being the best parts of the trip. The first was a hike to Trollsteinen, which we included in our itinerary from the beginning, and it was amazing (for those who love to hike).POINTERS - SATURDAY Brain Power 1. Holders Germany should go far in the tournament after a flawless qualifying campaign as they seek to retain their title and have been drawn in Group F alongside Sweden, Mexico and Korea Republic.

Joachim Low's side won all 10 games in qualifying, scoring 43 goals along the way, and will be aiming for another successful summer, having lifted the FIFA 2017 Confederations Cup in July.

Brazil were also impressive in qualifying, comfortably topping the CONMEBOL standings, and will be favourites to progress in Group E alongside Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia. Neymar will be the star of the show for the Selecao, but Tite's side possess plenty of other attacking options such as Gabriel Jesus, Willian, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho. France also have plenty of strength in depth and should go far. Les Bleus won the trophy in 1998 and were runners-up in 2006.

They will face Peru, Denmark and Australia in Group C in Russia. There is no obvious "Group of Death," although Portugal and Spain have again been drawn together in Group B along with Iran and Morocco. Spain will be out to regain the title they won in 2010 and have a strong squad with a nice mix of youth and experience from David De Gea in goal, through to Andres Iniesta in midfield and Alvaro Morata up front.

Julen Lopetegui's side are priced at 15-2, and Cristiano Ronaldo's European champions Portugal are 20-1. Argentina made hard work of qualifying, but with Lionel Messi in the ranks, anything is possible. They are available at 8-1 and will face Iceland, Croatia and Nigeria in Group D. Hosts Russia qualified automatically and may suffer due to a lack of competitive football in the run-up to the tournament.

Home advantage should help, but they are unlikely to pick up a maiden title, and that is reflected in their price of 40-1. Elsewhere, England are available at 18-1, Belgium are 12-1 and Saudi Arabia and Panama are rank outsiders at 1,000-1. A tipster is someone who regularly provides information (tip) on the likely outcomes of sporting events.

In the past tips were bartered for and traded but nowadays, thanks largely to the Internet and premium rate telephone lines, they are usually exchanged for money, and many tipsters operate websites. Some of them are free and some require subscription. A tip in gambling is a bet suggested by a third party who is perceived to be more knowledgeable about that subject than the bookmaker who sets the initial prices. The Tipster must overcome the profit margin integrated into sports betting odds by bookmakers trading teams and then also obtain an additional edge to deliver profit over the long term.

However, many tipping services are scam operations that play on the Behavioral addiction of betting. Tipsters are often insiders of a particular sport able to provide bettors with information not publicly available. There are other tipsters who provide equally respectable results through analysis of commonly accessible information. Some tipsters use statistical based estimations about the outcome of a game, and compare this estimation with the bookmaker's odds.

If there is a gap between the estimate odds and the bookmakers odds, the tipster is said to identify "value", and a person who bets on such odds when they perceive not a certainty but a "gap in the book" is said to be a "value bettor". When value is found, the tipster is recommending the bettor to place a bet. A tip that is considered to be a racing certainty, that is, almost completely certain to be true, is also called a nap and tipsters in newspapers will tend to indicate the "nap".

Tipping is mostly associated with horse racing but can apply to any sport that has odds offered on it.

Most National newspapers in the UK employ a tipster or columnist who provides horse racing tips. Rather than pick a tip for each race that occurs on a given day the normal protocol is to provide a Nap and nb selection. The popular Channel 4 television programme The Morning Line previews weekend horse racing on a Saturday morning culminating in the panel of experts and guests providing their selections for the day.

Sky Sports News runs a similar preview segment including expert analysis of the teams and betting odds relating to Premier League football fixtures on a Saturday.

The United Kingdom, morning national Radio 4 Today Programme usually includes a couple of racing tips in its short sports section (Garry Richardson is the usual presenter, although others fill in when he is away) but these are not taken too seriously (in fact the tips are supplied by a well-known newspaper tipster): but the programme tracks Richardson's performance as a tipster for amusement value: he is usually quite well "down" but just very occasionally is "up" after a correct tip at a long price.

Premium tipping services charge a fee for accessing a tip or tips by telephone, internet or post.

The more reputable companies will keep an accurate record of their tipping activities enabling a prospective client to assess their past form and so anticipate potential future performance. There is a lot of scope for less reputable operations to massage these figures or even to fabricate figures in order to attract new customers.Five hours earlier, sportsbooks had taken the game off the board because of the scratch of one of the starting pitchers.

Selling picks in six or more sports, plus different bets in each, plus the ability to segregate plays by the number of units, gives touts dozens of options from which to advertise on any given day. So the more touts an operation can employ, the more chances it has of digging up streaks to push.

Few outfits are as large as Pregame. We wanna create special packages around that level of hotness. He saw that his talents lay in selling those who sell picks.

After he graduated from Ohio State University, Bell has claimed, he was accepted into Harvard Law School but passed it up and moved to Las Vegas instead.

An oft-repeated claim by Bell is that he graduated valedictorian of his class with a Finance degree. According to the university, Bell graduated summa cum laude with a B. Bell was a recipient of a Pace Setter award, which honors top business students. He said he has now removed it.

If he was able to earn a living as a full-time bettor, his performance as a pick-seller at Pregame offers little support. Bell sold 30 picks from October 2008 through March 2010. Eight months after his final sale, he came out of retirement to offer a freebie in college-football: Army as an eight-point underdog against Notre Dame.

Before launching Pregame, Bell offered free picks. But where was the money in that. His NCAA domain squatting may offer a hint: The real profit was in lucrative referral deals with offshore sportsbooks. Bettors signed up for free picks, and Bell accumulated a massive database of names and email addresses that he could sell to sportsbooks.

According to a Pregame advertising kit circa 2010, the average Pregame and FPBE user was a fairly avid bettor who played at multiple books. Sportsbooks less able or inclined to spend six figures could sign up as standard advertisers. A testimonial of his is featured on the home page of WebPartners, an affiliate go-between and Costa Rica-based bookmaker.

A cookie-based tracking system and unique token ensured that those who clicked on the ads and then deposited money at Mybookie would be credited as referrals of WagerTalk. Every month thereafter, site heads would be sent a monthly statement and a check for their cut of those losses. Industry standard Sportsbook Review gives Mybookie a C rating. WagerTalk ranked Mybookie as its top sportsbook. As Johnny Detroit was handling the arrangements with sportsbooks, Bell was doing his part to push their merged tout service to the public.
